First Presbyterian Church, Muskogee, OK, 1875-1903
These early marriage and death records are from the Church Register, Vol. I and Vol. II, of the First Presbyterian Church, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Muskogee's oldest church. The church was first organized, April 18, 1875. Some of the death entries will be of interest to Methodists as well, because there are notations indicating that some of the individuals were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South (MEC, South) at the time of their death. Their dates of death correspond to the period of time when the MEC, South, had no church building due to the fire that destroyed their church, and all their records May 20, 1903. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (free) (or other .pdf viewer) to view these records.
