Muskogee County Probate & Guardianship Indexes
1907 - 1930
These indexes are from "Index to Probates and Guardianships, Muskogee County Oklahoma, 1907 through 1930", compiled by Deone Duncan Penquite.
The first date of a case is a guardianship # 7, dated 2 Dec. 1890 and the last case is Dec. 1930. There are very few cases listed before 1907.
In these guardianship records, children are listed according to the first child in the case. In many cases there are several more children involved in the guardianship. Parents were sometimes guardians. When possible, they are in the guardian listing even when another person was guardian. To do a thorough search, checking the guardian listing may help you identify a particular family.
Addenda has additional surnames of children which are not alphabetical in the general index.
Remember, transcription errors are easy to make so unfortunately, we can't guarantee that all information is accurate. As with all information found on the internet, use what you find here as clues to further research.
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (free) (or other .pdf viewer) to view these indexes.
