Muskogee Public Library-Local History & Genealogy

The Local History & Genealogy Department has one of the largest genealogical collections in Northeastern Oklahoma. The friendly and knowledgeable staff is experienced in all areas of research including Native American and Freedman research. The department has the Dawes Rolls, enrollment cards, applications and other rolls of the Five Civilized Tribes as well as local newspapers, and court records. Visit their website for databases you can search from home using your MPL library card 

MPL is an affiliate of Family Search  making it possible for you to view digital images not otherwise available on your personal computer. There are also other databases available only on computers in the department.

MCGS uses the resources of MPL when fulfilling your research requests.
