The Local History & Genealogy Department has one of the largest genealogical collections in Northeastern Oklahoma. The friendly and knowledgeable staff is experienced in all areas of research including Native American and Freedman research. The department has the Dawes Rolls, enrollment cards, applications and other rolls of the Five Civilized Tribes as well as local newspapers, and court records. MPL is an affiliate of Family Search making it possible for you to view digital images not otherwise available on your personal computer. There are also other databases available only on computers in the department.
