Research Services


Our services rely heavily on materials available in the Genealogy & Local History Department of the Muskogee Public Library. Also our research team is experienced in searching online resources if you need additional research services. We will do our best to fulfill your research requests as quickly as possible.


​We offer two types of research assistance: 

Research Using our Records Indexes
You can request copies of records that have been microfilmed and which MCGS has indexed as a finding aid..

Research Consultation Request
Our unique consultation method uses a group of 8-10 experienced researchers to "crowdsource" your research question online and provide you with a Research Log containing links, etc., along with a summary of our findings.
You can use this information to further your own "exhaustive research" and answer your research question.
